10 kilometers east from Naran lies the majestic Lake Saif-ul-Muluk. It is situated at an altitude of around 3,212 meters or 10,537 feet above sea level and is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan.
In winter, the lake is covered by a sheet of ice, while in April, when the ice begins to melt; miniature icebergs can be seen floating on the surface of the lake. The mountain right behind the lake is called Malika Parbat, the highest peak in the valley.
